All three were classified Type II and set at a depth of recall of retailers, which means the affected product was being pulled back from pharmacies and distributors rather than only from a central warehouse. Recall two: an impurity out of specification in every lot
What went wrong? Dr. Reddy's recalled two market authorizations of Semaglutide Injection (RA-82537) because an impurity was out of specification in all lots of the affected products. Eight lots across two drug identification numbers were named. An out-of-specification result in a single lot is a deviation. The same result in every lot is a signal about the product, its specification, or its supply chain.
An out-of-specification, or OOS, result means a test result falls outside the registered acceptance criteria.
